Do you have a mold problem in your bathroom that you want to get cleaned up so that you will once again have a safe environment? Learning how to clean bathroom mold is not a hard thing to do but it will take patience and persistence to make your mold problem go away once and for all. Mold is common in warm, wet environments and most of the time is found in the corners of shower fixtures and grout. There are a few different steps you can take for bathroom mold cleaning that will help you to get rid of your problem.

If you want to clean the shower floor or bathtub there is a simple solution you can make that will help you clean bathroom mold. You will need a large spray bottle, bleach, water, and dishwashing liquid in order to make the solution that you will need. You will also need a measuring cup so that you can add the proper amount of each ingredient to the spray bottle. After you have gathered all of the ingredients needed you will measure 1/4 cup of bleach, 8 cups of water, and a teaspoon of dishwashing liquid and add them to the spray bottle. When all ingredients are inside, shake the bottle vigorously to mix all of its contents together. Make sure that you are wearing a pair of rubber gloves so that you do not get any of the mixture or mold on your skin while you are cleaning.

The next step for cleaning mold in a bathroom is to soak all of the affected areas with the solution that you have mixed together in the spray bottle. You want to make sure that all areas are well saturated in order to make it easier to scrub the mold away. You will want to let the solution sit on the areas that you have sprayed it on for about 20 minutes so that the mold will start to break free. Make sure that you open a window, turn on a fan, or leave the door to the bathroom open so that there will be enough ventilation in room.

When you return from letting the solution soak you will be ready to start scrubbing the mold away. This is the final step that you will take when learning how to clean mold in your bathroom. You will need a textured scrubbing pad and a toothbrush in order to clean all of the moldy areas. You will scrub the large areas that are affected with the scrubbing pad by scrubbing in a circular motion. For the grout and caulked areas you will use a toothbrush to remove the mold. You want to keep scrubbing the areas until all of the mold has been removed. When all evidence of mold is gone you will rinse the areas with plain water and then dry all of the water up.

You now know how to clean bathroom mold on your bathtub, shower walls, and grout. If you have a bad mold problem you may need to repeat these steps. If you want to keep the mold away you will want to make sure that you have proper ventilation in your bathroom so that the climate is not as warm and wet. If your mold problem returns you will be able to use these steps to clean the mold in your bathroom.
