Whey Protein powder is a very popular protein product found at stores such as GNC, Vitamin World, Walmart, and various other stores throughout the country. A container of Whey protein powder can run anywhere from 30 dollars to 60 dollars depending on the size of the container. There is a wide selection of flavors such as banana, vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry. Whey Protein is generally used by weight lifters, athletes and people who are trying to add muscle and strength. Whey protein is vital for muscle growth and recovery after a workout. It is most effective when taken immediately to 45 minutes after a workout session. There are plenty of ways to consume Whey Protein in which I list below.

If you are looking to bulk up there are two protein shakes I recommend and ingredients can be either added or taken away. The first Whey protein shake will consist of:

1 Serving of Whey Protein

2 scoops of oats (use scoop in the whey protein container)

16 oz of pineapple juice

1 large banana

4 or 5 ice cubes

whey
banana (19470)
juice
oats (19462)

The second Whey protein shake I recommend consists of ingredients that are give or take such as:

1 Serving of Whey Protein

3 Large Scoops of any ice cream

2 tablespoons of peanut butter

1 large banana

1 or 2 raw eggs (you won't even taste them)

1/2 cup of blueberries (full of antioxidants)

3 or 4 chopped strawberries

12 oz of milk

milk (19468)
whey

blueberries
strawberries (19469)
banana (19470)

PB
ice cream
eggs (19463)

Again, you do not have to add all the ingredients in. You can if you would like. These two shakes are good especially if you are trying to add extra calories to your diet. So instead of just taking your Whey Protein with just water, take the time to do it right by putting these ingredients into a blender.

A couple of other ways to incorporate Whey Protein into your diet is by mixing it within you pancake batter, yogurt, muffin mix, or whatever you can think of. Remember you should be getting around 1-1.5 grams of protein per pound of body weight for those looking for protein supplementation guidelines. This will optimize your recovery and maximize your muscle growth. Whey Protein is safe and effective.
