How to Convert WMA to MP4 and Preserve Audio Tags

This how-to procedure tells you how to convert .wma to .mp4 audio files using Audio Transcoder. Here is an example of when this procedure could be very useful. Say you have some music tracks in .wma format. To listen to this music on your iPod, you need to convert them to .mp4 format. You can use Audio Transcoder to convert .wma to .mp4.

Things You Will Need

A computer

Audio Transcoder, available from www.audio-transcoder.com

Music files in .wma format

Step 1

Start Audio Transcoder.

Step 2

Click the Audio Converter tab at the top.

Step 3

Browse to some audio files (.wma) in the left pane at the top.

Step 4

Drag the files to the middle pane.

Step 5

In the Output format box near the bottom of the window, select .mp4.

Step 6

Click Convert.

You have converted .wma to .mp4 audio files using Audio Transcoder.

You can use Audio Transcoder in a similar way to convert flac to aac, wv to mp3, ape to flac, mp2 to mp3, wv to mp3, and so on.
