If you think that it can help you while your feeding then this is a very good distraction. You may experiment by trying to remove or add some distractions to see if these things could really help you feed a picky eater. Just make sure that your toddler' s mealtime is enjoyable.
Give your child some washable crayons and a coloring book or any kind of paper where he or she can show his or her creative side. Let your toddler draw or color anything that he or she likes and don't forget to shower him or her with lots of praises for his or her unique work.
