Would you like to get 3 free credit report scores each year? Lots of people know that you can get one free report online each year, but did you know you can actually get 3 free credit reports each year?

Things You Will Need

Have your social security number handy

Step 1

Go to AnnualCreditReport.com in month 1, let's call it January for this article.

Don't go to FreeCreditReport.com! Sure, they advertise on TV, but there's nothing free about that site. Listen at the end of the commercial when they sneak in "offer depends on enrollment on enrollment in triple advantage." They'll make you buy something to get your ratings.

Step 2

Go through the Annual Credit Report web site like you normally would to get your free report. **IMPORTANT: Be sure to only fill out the forms to get your free credit report from Experian!**

Step 3

In April, or 3 months after you get your free credit report from Experian, go back to Annual CreditReport.com, but this time only fill out the forms to get your free credit report from TransUnion.

Step 4

In August, or 3 months after you get your free credit report from TransUnion, go back to Annual CreditReport.com, but this time only fill out the forms to get your free credit report from Equifax.

Step 5

In January the next year, or 3 months after you get your free credit report from Equifax, repeat the process back at Experian.
This process works to get 3 reports instead of one because the 3 reporting agencies give almost identical reports.
