How to Get Cash for Used Clothes
In this economy, we could all use some extra money. If you need some extra cash, a really easy way to get it quickly is to sell some of the clothes in your closet that you don't wear any more. You can get cold, hard, cash, just for taking your gently used clothes into a re-sale shop and waiting a few minutes for them to go through them and make you an offer.
What you will need:
* Clothes, shoes and accessories that you don't wear any more that are in good condition.
* About an hour of your time to take the clothes in to sell.
What to do:
Step 1. Go through your closet and pull our any clothes that you don't wear any more. They need to be in good condition, without any stains or rips. You can usually sell shoes and accessories at the same re-sale shops, so get those out too.
Step 2. Make sure everything is washed and neatly folded, and place it in a plastic tub, laundry basket, or a trashbag.
Step 3. Take your clothes in to your local re-sale shop and take them to the counter where you can sell them for cash. You will need to fill our a seller information card, and then wait for a few minutes while they look through your clothes and decide what they want.
Step 4. Then, they will call you up to let you know what items they would like to buy, and offer you a dollar amount for them.
Step 5. Collect your cash and the clothes they did not buy from you.
Tips:
* I know of a couple of local shops that do this. They are Platos Closet and Buffalo Exchange. I am sure if you look online for your area and google "sell used clothes for cash" or clothes re-sale shops, you will find one. You can also find great deals there if you are looking for something to add to your wardrobe.
