How to Get Free or Low Fee Hypnosis

Perhaps you've been curious about hypnosis but want to try it for free first.  After all, in-person hypnosis sessions average at $100 and up.  If you're not sure if you'd like it, trying free hypnosis is a good way to get started without any investment.  Here are some absolutely free (and one low fee) ways to experience hypnosis:

  • You Tube - There are tons of hypnosis videos here ranging from 3 to 20 minutes long.  If you simply search 'hypnosis,' you'll get a lot of talks about hypnosis.  Doing a search on 'self hypnosis' will give you more videos that actually guide you into the process.  You Tube is such a great resource, you could listen to a different hypnosis session every day.
  • The Library - The library is one of my favorite resources for free stuff.  Go to your city library's website and do a search on hypnosis cd's.  That gives you a much broader access to all the branches in your city, not just your local branch which might not have any hypnosis cd's.  Once you check out a cd, you can download it to your computer and have free hypnosis even when you're offline.  You can also check out self-hypnosis books at the library so that you can...
  • Create Your Own Hypnosis Recording -  Using scripts from the self-hypnosis book you checked out from the library, you can create your own hypnosis recording.  What makes this better than the other free methods is that you can customize it to fit your needs.  You can take any standard hypnosis induction (the beginning part that gets you into trance) and then add your own suggestions.  It's really easy to do, but if you're like me and don't like listening to the sound of your own voice, get a friend to read it while you record.  You can also find a lot of free hypnosis scripts on the internet.  Most likely someone has already created what you're looking for.
  • Contact Hypnosis Schools - There are hypnosis schools like the one I attended, HCH, that need volunteers for the hypnosis students' final exam.  Your free hypnosis session is recorded so that the teacher can critique the student's technique and decide if they can graduate.  A one-on-one live session with a hypnotist is almost always better than a generic recording.  In a live hypnosis session, you can explore the source of an issue, as the hypnotist skillfully guides you to deeper understanding and awareness.
  • Low Fee Hypnosis - Although it's not free, you can still save a lot of money by searching for a low fee hypnosis clinic.   Some hypnosis schools, like HCH, offer a low fee clinic to the community.  Hypnosis interns, who have just graduated from the school, facilitate the sessions.  In exchange for extremely low rates, you work with an intern.  It's a similar concept to getting discounted rates for a massage at a massage school.

Once you've gotten your feet wet with free hypnosis, you'll see that it can improve almost any area of your life.
