We all love getting things for free and in this economy freebies are more popular than they have ever been. Even if cost savings aren't important to you, you still probably like to try out a product before you buy it to see if you really like it. Well Walmart is pleasing both frugal minded people and picky consumers alike by offering a way to obtain free samples of items ranging from health and beauty items to household goods, baby care and pet supplies. They even offer free samples of over the counter medication such as Prilosec and Zyrtec occasionally. This offer is open to everyone and has no restrictions except that you should not request more than one of each sample. The only thing that you need to start claiming your Walmart freebies are a computer and a mailing address.

Step 1

Open up a web browser on your computer and go to the following URL: Walmart Free Samples or copy and paste the URL into your browser: http://instoresnow.walmart.com/In-Stores-Now-Free-Samples-And-Trials.aspx

Step 2

Click on the Free Samples link or scroll down to the Featured Offers section of the page to view the currently available offers.

Step 3

Browse the list of free offers (usually 3 to 5) and click on the free sample offers that appeal to you.

Step 4

You will be taken to a splash page for the product and you should click on the link that says "Get Your Free Sample". It sometimes takes a few seconds for this link to appear on the page.

Step 5

Fill out the form with your name, address and email address to receive your free sample. You will also need to enter your birthday to verify that you are old enough to redeem the offer. There are usually a few other consumer purchasing questions which help the company understand your purchasing habits better. It is nice if you opt to answer these questions, but they are not required to redeem your free sample.

Step 6

Visit the website often. Although some of the offers stay up for weeks or a month, others change on a weekly basis, so there is always a new freebie to claim. You may want to bookmark this website since it isn't very easy to remember and Walmart does not make it easy to navigate to from their main homepage.

The website states that your free sample will arrive in the mail in four to six weeks, although personal experience has shown that it is usually much quicker than that.
