How to Get Full Ride Scholarships

By | 6 Comments | Rating: 0 | |

Full ride scholarships mean that a student's books, tuition, and living expenses are all paid for. A full ride scholarship means that a student can focus on academics, or maybe even college sports, without having to juggle those responsibilities with a full or part time job.

While this might sound like a minor detail, those who don't have financial worries on their minds have much better chances of doing well in their college classes.

Here's what you can do to boost your chances of getting a full ride scholarship.

Get excellent grades in all of your classes.

Full ride scholarships are geared to pay the tuition of only the most dedicated students, so you must give your grades your all. This means all or nearly all A's in every class.

Another way to get college paid for is to become an excellent athlete.

Full ride scholarships are sometimes awarded full scholarships that cover all college expenses. This is a good way to get college paid for, but should not a student's only focus; grades are still important.

Even if you are an outstanding athlete, ultimately, you need to be able to excel in the classroom as well as on the playing court.

Apply to scholarships specific to your race, gender, career interest, social status, etc.

Full ride scholarships are often meant for a very specific target population, so look for scholarships directly related to your situation.

Look for full ride scholarships relevant to your college degree.

There are often full ride scholarships that are meant for people coming from or going towards very specific career pathways. For example, because the medical field is experiencing such a shortage of staff, there are many different medical scholarships that are meant to boost graduation rates and create more employees for the sector.

This truly benefits those that are interested in those specific, in-demand fields, because there is an opportunity to get a college scholarship that covers a large portion of tuition and other expenses.

Make a case for your hardships in life, and the obstacles that you've had to overcome (if applicable).

Full scholarships are sometimes granted to those who have worked to make a good life out of a bad or challenging situation.

You will need to eloquently be able to portray the hardships situation that you came from, and how you worked to overcome the odds.

Being very positive about your life's challenges and optimistic that you will only keep working to improve yourself and your quality of life. It helps to be a decent writer, when it comes to this kind of college funding; be ready to write an excellent scholarship essay.

Being awarded full ride scholarships largely comes down to your level of motivation and resourcefulness; there are plenty of scholarships out there (many that go completely unawarded).

Be aggressive in your scholarship search, and be diligent in proving that you are capable of doing well, should you be awarded.

It takes a lot of work to be awarded a scholarship, especially a full one, but it is well worth the effort.

thats his website. He only asks that you donate a small amoutn and that every little bit will help him reach his goal of going to a good university in the States.

If you can't donate, I suggest you should at least tell other people about it, he sound like a pretty legit guy. I donated! and if you think hes a scam you can meet him on msn or skype! it was cool, I donated to him just cause i thought he deserved it!
