How to Get Rid of Back Acne in 3 Steps

By Edited May 28, 2014 1 0

Back acne, or Bacne can be a real pain for anyone.  It can be brought on by stress, lack of cleanliness, or just bad luck.  It can be a major or minor issue depending on your situation though.  This three-step process is guaranteed to improve any condition of back acne.

1. Exfoliate

This is a very key step that most people do not even know about.  Exfoliation is the removal of all the old and dead skin cells on the surface of your body.  The old, dead cells can hang around on the surface of your skin and clog up your pores resulting in acne.  This also helps keep your skin fresh and prevents it from drying out.

Exfoliation can be done with any type of abrasive material by using it to simply scrub your skin.  You can use anything from a washcloth, loofah, brush, sponge, or pumice.  It is best to do this in the shower so that the water will wash away any debris that you scrub loose.

It is also important to exfoliate before washing so that your pores are unclogged and ready to be cleansed and absorb nutrients.

2. Cleansing

This is a pretty obvious step, but it is worth mentioning because it is very important.  You need to first find a body wash or soap that your skin is comfortable with.  Make sure your soap does not dry out your skin too.

In the shower, take your time lathering up your back making sure to get the whole area.  Allow the soap to soak in for a bit before rinsing.  This gives the soap time to get into your pores.  Then rinse and make sure to leave no soap residue.

3. Treatment

The final step will be essential in making your back acne disappear, but it will only work if it is done after steps one and two.  After your skin is exfoliated and cleaned, it is time to treat the acne.  This can be done with just about any type of acne medicine that has salicylic acid in it.
