Imagine What Your Life Will Be After Losing Your Belly Fat…

Belly fat occupies the abdominal region.  We see this huge bulge around our waist and we want to slim it down to improve our physical appearance.  Our appearance means a lot to us because we want to look good for ourselves and to other people.  Finally, the small size outfits that fit and flatter other people are available to us.

When we lose the belly fat, we gain self-esteem and self-confidence.  We take greater personal risks in meeting other people, especially people we find attractive.  Rejection is a thing of the past.  We no longer make excuses for avoiding social situations.  People are now begging us to come to their parties.

Feeling good about yourself and looking like a new person isn't the only benefit you receive from getting rid of your belly fat… 

Belly fat is also known as visceral fat.  Visceral fat is not the same as subcutaneous fat or fat under the skin.  Instead, visceral fat surrounds the internal organs inside the abdominal region.  And visceral fat doesn't just sit around waiting to be burned and used as energy like subcutaneous fat.  It actually releases toxins, which are harmful to the body.  Excess visceral fat contributes to heart disease, diabetes, stroke and even cancer.  When you lose your belly fat, you reduce your risk of developing these deadly diseases.

The Reality of Losing Belly Fat…

There's no magic diet pill or secret that will make your belly fat disappear… You already know what to do, but you haven't been consistent because it's hard work and no one wants to work hard.

To lose that belly fat you first need to look at your diet – what you eat and how much.  Balanced meals are important.  You need to make sure your body is getting its nutritional needs met each day.  What you need to do is reduce or eliminate the unnecessary snacks or treats that add empty calories.  Watch your intake of sodas, candy, cake and others food made with refined sugars.  Try to eat less red meat and more fresh raw vegetables and fruits.  Don't forget to drink enough water and fluids to keep your body hydrated.

Eating carefully is a good start.  But that isn't enough.  You'll need to include physical activity in your day to help burn off the excess calories.  When your body takes in more calories that it can use, it stores the excess as fat.  Exercise can help you burn up the excess calories down to a healthier level.  Abdominal exercises make your stomach muscle stronger, but it won't help you eliminate the visceral fat surrounding your internal organs.  Experts say that cardiovascular type activity, such as walking or jogging or anything that raises the heart rate above normal levels for a period will help burn off the fat deep inside the gut.

Getting rid of your belly fat will be a worthwhile challenge.  Imagining what your life would be like without your potbelly will motivate you to make the necessary changes in your diet and your physical activity level for it to happen.  Once your see the results of your efforts, you may wonder why you didn't start sooner.
