Barack Obamas BeardIn this Photoshop tutorial we will add facial hair to President Obama to give him a beard.
It's easy to add facial hair to a persons face using Photoshop.

Things You Will Need

  • Photoshop
  • Picture Of Barack Obama

Step 1

Using Photoshop open up an image of Barack Obama. For this Photoshop tutorial I used this Image From Flickr.

Step 2

clone stamp tool Select your "Clone Stamp Tool".

Step 3

Photoshop Brush selector Select a brush that fades out on the edges. I used a size 60 brush.

Step 4

Move the cursor to President Obamas hair. Place the cursor towards the top of Barack Obamas hair. Hold down the "alt" button on the keyboard and left click your mouse.

This selects an area to clone.

Step 5

Hairy Chin Move your cursor to Obamas chin. Click and drag your mouse. This "clones" the hair on Obamas head to his chin. Just do small patch on his chin.

When using your clone tool to apply hair to the face watch the cross hatch in Obamas head hair. The clone tool will apply everything so you want to make sure that the cross hatch stays within Obamas hair.

Step 6

Repeat steps 4 and 5 as needed until you get Obamas chin hair and sideburns filled in with hair.

Step 7

Select a smaller brush size with faded edges. I used a size 22 brush

Step 8

Using your clone tool again as in steps 4 and 5 too add hair to the moustache are of Barack Obama.

You can also clone from one person to another. You can use a beard on one image and using the clone tool apply it to a new person.

Tips & Warnings

  • Feel free to experiment with placement of the hair and brush sizes. If you don't like the way it looks you can always "undo" it.
  • Start with a large image to get best results. You can always resize the image down after your photo is finished.
  • This method works best with head hair that would also make good facial hair.
  • You can also clone from one image to another.
