Many people want to see their children grow up, finish their studies, be successful in what they want to achieve in life and have their own families so if we want to see these accomplishments happen then it is important that you take good care of your health so that you can live longer. Here are some factors that you'll need to do in order to live a long and healthy life.

Difficulty:

Moderately Easy

Instructions

things you'll need:

  • Determination
  • Healthy Foods
    • 1

Eat what nature has to offer like fresh vegetables and fruits. The biggest anti-aging breakthrough is found in fresh vegetables and fruits that are good sources of antioxidants. Antioxidants can help protect your body from the damage that free radicals make and thereby slowing the aging process.

    • 2

Find some time to relax. Remember that too much stress may give you high blood pressure and it's not good for your health.

    • 3

Do not rely on just taking vitamin supplements. Eat variety of healthy and fresh foods.

    • 4

Get off the couch and do some exercises like jogging, swimming or walking outside so that you can also breathe fresh air and this can make a positive outcome when it comes to the longevity and quality of your life.

    • 5

Try to avoid processed foods since they contain a lot of preservatives and added colors that are not as nutritious compared to fresh produce. If you really want to eat them then try eating them once a week because if you keep on taking them, then you're only denying your body the nutritious foods that can actually help delay the effects of aging.

    • 6

Eat foods rich in fiber like whole wheat bread instead of white bread. Whole wheat can help prevent heart diseases.

    • 7

Try to eat foods with healthy unsaturated fats from nuts, avocados, vegetable oils, and fish like salmon because the good fat that these foods give can lower the risk for heart disease and diabetes.

    • 8

Expose your body to the sun between 7-9 in the morning for a good amount of vitamin D.

    • 9

Try to sip red wine three to four times a week. Drinking wine preferably with a meal is good for the heart. Red wine is known for their antioxidants called flavonoids which are good in fighting free-radicals.

    • 10

Take care of your bones. Women should take good care more because they are more prone to osteoporosis. You can take calcium supplements as you get older and try to avoid carrying heavy loads so that you can prevent brittle bones later in life that can cause fractures in your body.

Tips & Warnings

  • Eat only when you are hungry. Stay slim and healthy so that you will enjoy life better. Eat but don't forget to exercise!

  • It is not good to deprive yourself from eating variety of healthy foods just in order to stay slim.
