If you already shop at Safeway, you should check this out. If not, you should still check it out because it is a really cool new perk I just found out about, that will really help everyone save money on their favorite brands without having to clip and rummage through coupons every time you go to the store. All you have to do is go online to select your coupons and they are automatically loaded onto your club card, so you get the manufacturers savings as well as the retailer. What a great idea!!! Safeway even doubles coupons that you have loaded on your card up to a dollar.
Things You'll Need:
*A Safeway Club card
*A few extra minutes that will add up to dollars in savings every time you shop
If you don't already have a Safeway club card, next time you shop, just ask them at the checkout for a card. You get the savings instantly, and can fill out the pamphlet later to bring in with you on your next shopping trip. I usually save about 20% or more each time I shop and use the card, so it is worth it already.
Log on to safeway.com and select the coupons link. It takes you to the page where you can do one of two things: You can print coupons or you can load them directly onto your savings card.
It is quick and easy to register. They just ask you for your name, address, email, and club card number. It is simple and gives pictures if you are not sure where the number is on the card.
Once you are registered, you can select which coupons you want to add onto your card, and you are ready to go. Make sure to check back weekly for new coupons to add. You can also print a list of what coupons you have added on, so that you can remember to use them. It is so much easier than having a stack of coupons to wrestle with while shopping and at the checkout line. I know I have bought items that I wanted to use a coupon for, and then forgot to use it at checkout many times just because I was frustrated and paying attention to kids. This way, I know I will get the discount automatically.
