How to Lose Fat in your Face

By | 2 Comments | Rating: 0 | |

Some people are genetically blessed, while others need to work a little for their good looks. Face fat can be one of those things that are genetically inherited; luckily, there are some things you can do to fight back. Follow these steps to get rid of facial fat.

Lower your overall body weight. Dropping to a healthy body weight range will help you lose face fat, as well as increase your overall health. When you are within a healthy weight range, you are far less likely to struggle with a double chin or otherwise too-full face.

Drink more water. Face fat reduction could be as simple as getting rid of facial bloat. Drink more water to flush out the toxins and get a slimmer face. The "right" amount of water varies from person to person but the age-old rule is generally at least 64 ounces of water each day; more if you are active.

Reduce sodium in your diet. Excess salt makes you bloat, leading to what looks like face fat. There are plenty of ways to reduce sodium in the diet; reducing the amount of meals eaten at restaurants is a great way to start. Cooking at home lets you control the amount of salt that goes into your food. Another sodium source is any kind of food that is packaged, wrapped and conserved for consumption. You can do yourself (including your health and that double chin) a lot of good by committing to watching the food labels for sodium content.

Take a good look at what medications you're taking. Some medications may cause water retention, which could very likely be the culprit behind a double chin or face fat. If you suspect this may be a factor, talk to your doctor about healthy alternatives to the drug, or ways to counteract the effect.

Exercise. Exercise is good for the entire body, but it can also help you lose facial fat, so hit the gym to start reaping the full body benefits.

Do face exercises to reduce face fat. Face exercises (such as jaw jutting extensions, and other various extreme facial expressions) can slim the face and firm a double chin.
