Chicken Chili

Chicken soup makes us feel better when we are ill. Chili warms us up when we are cold. Together, they make quite possible the best food in the world. If you are looking for something tasty, inexpensive and quick to make then Chicken Chili Soup is exactly what you are looking for!

So, how do you combine the two different worlds of chicken soup and chili and what does the end result look and taste like? Trust me, it is delicious.

Things You Will Need


1 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breast

2 cans Cream of Chicken soup

2 boxes of Chicken Flavored Rice-o-Roni

Optional: shredded cheese, salt, pepper, vanilla extract

Step 1

First, cook 1 pound of skinless, boneless chicken breast in a skillet until it is cooked thoroughly.

Step 2

Next, chop it into small pieces. The size of the pieces really depends on your personal preference. You can use a knife and cut larger chunks or use a chopper and mash it into tiny pieces that will blend in to your chili soup.

Step 3

Add 2 cans of Cream of Chicken soup.

Step 4

Add 2 boxes of Chicken Flavored Rice-o-Roni with the seasoning packets.

Step 5

Add 2 tablespoons of butter

Step 6

Add 4 soup cans full of water and stir until everything is evenly mixed.

Additionally, like chili, just about anything that you add to the mixture at this point will taste good. Feel free to experiment and add different things. One suggestion is to add a little shredded cheddar cheese. It will melt in and add a kick of flavor. You can also add additional seasonings such as garlic, salt, pepper and vanilla extract.

All of this should be cooking in the same skillet that you cooked the chicken in. Lower the heat and let it simmer until the rice is cooked and it thickens to your liking. The longer you let it cook, the thicker it will get.
