How to Make Delicious TAIslim Shakes

To make a TAIslim Shake it is recommended that you mix one scoop (2 ounces) of the Shake powder with 8 ounces of cold water or skim milk.  Shake vigorously and drink! 

I love these Shakes and find they are very convenient to take to the office as I usually just sit at my desk and hurry through lunch.  So, I put a scoop in my shaker/mixer bottle and fill with water and drink it while I keep working.

At home, it’s a whole different ball game!  I love experimenting with my breakfast Shake in the morning so I have gotten very creative in some of my concoctions.  Here are some of my tips:

Use a small electric blender like a Magic Bullet mixer to blend your TAIslim Shake, especially if you use ice and frozen fruite.  This will give you a much creamier mixture, much like a real ice cream shake or a smoothie type of drink.

I like to add about a ½ cup of crushed ice, eight or so ounces of liquid, fresh or frozen fruit, and then the Shake powder.  Blend at high speed for a minute or two and you have a sinfully delicious breakfast or lunch!

 Liquid suggestions instead of using water:

  • Skim milk
  • Coffee
  • TAIslim liquid
  • GoChi
  • Any non-calorie liquid that you enjoy

Fruit Additions:

Banana – I like to cut up my slightly overripe bananas into one inch chunks and freeze them in small snack baggies. 

Strawberries – fresh or frozen

Mixed frozen fruits from the store – Almost everything tastes wonderful in these Shakes.  I don’t care for the blends with blackberries, pomegranates, raspberries; etc because of the seeds but you can try and strain them out.

Peaches, mango, and pineapple – Actually any fresh, canned, or frozen fruit is delicious!

Blueberries – fresh or frozen

Make sure you aren’t adding unneeded calories with these as some are packed in syrup and sugar.  I try not to go over 200 calories in my Shake.

Hint:  Re-package your frozen fruits into small snack-sized baggies.  This will make it quick and easy to use as well as help you control the portion size.  I put about a 1/3 of cup of frozen fruit in each baggie.

Other Additions:

I like to add a capful of one of those sugar-free syrups that are used in gourmet coffees, such as the DaVinci brand.  There are a lot of flavors available but my favorites are French Vanilla and Raspberry.  They are especially tasty and add no calories but you do have to make sure you buy the sugar-free ones.  You can find these syrups in most grocery stores in the coffee isle.

If you like a little sweeter taste, add a teaspoon of Splenda or similar sweetener.

Other Flavorful Shake Ideas:

Add a spoonful or two of canned pumpkin, a little cinnamon and a bit of sugar free sweetener for a delicious treat!

Mix and match – I like to add strawberries and bananas to my Chocolate Shake mix.  Get creative in using fruit and flavors! 

Orange Delight – Add a few sections of an orange (take out all of the membranes) and a little vanilla flavoring to the Vanilla Shake mix.  You can also use sugar-free orange drink mix.

I have even heard of people adding instant cereal mixes such as oatmeal to their Shakes for extra fiber and nutrition. 

 Craving something at night but know you shouldn’t have a snack full of empty calories?  Mix up a quick Shake for only 160 calories that will keep you full and satisfied all evening.
