How to Make Easy Spaghetti Bird's Nest Pie

Everyone loves spaghetti! Spaghetti is easy to make and is a nutritious as well as inexpensive meal for the family. Try this version of the delicious dish. It is a breeze to prepare and is especially suited for a last-minute meal.

Bird's Nest Pie

Things You Will Need

1 8oz. pkg spaghetti
2 eggs
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup ricotta cheese
2 1/2 cups ground beef
1 jar tomato sauce
4 oz. mozzarella cheese

Step 1

Cook and drain
Break spaghetti in half and cook until done. Drain.

Step 2

Make a nest in the pie plate
While the spaghetti is still warm, combine it with eggs and Parmesan cheese. Pour into a well-greased pie plate. Pat mixture up and around the sides of the plate with a spoon. Spread the ricotta cheese over the spaghetti.

Step 3

Brown meat, add sauce, simmer
Brown the ground beef. Drain. Add tomato sauce. Simmer 10 minutes.

Step 4

Spoon meat mixture on top of the ricotta cheese. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Arrange mozzarella cheese on top and return to oven until melted.
Kids will especially enjoy this Spaghetti Bird's Nest Pie around Easter!

Tips & Warnings

If you are doubling the recipe use three 9-inch pie plates.
