How to Make Ghirardelli Chocolate Cake

This is an old-fashioned chocolate cake that is sure to please even the fussiest of chocoholics.
Ghirardelli chocolate is ground chocolate, not a cocoa, and it can be found in most supermarkets.

Ingredients for making chocolate cake:
3-cups all-purpose flour 2-cups white sugar
1-cup ground Ghirardelli chocolate
2-teaspoons baking soda
1-cup vegetable oil
1-cup buttermilk2-eggs
1-cup boiling water
1-teaspoon vanilla extract
Ingredients for Cream cheese Frosting:
1 pound of powdered sugar
1-3-ounce package cream cheese
1/2-cup butter, softened
2-tablespoons milk
1-teaspoon vanilla extract
Step 1...
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9x13 inch cake pan.
Step 2...
Place the ingredients for making cake in a large mixing bowl. Blend on low speed for 3 minutes, or until mixture is smooth.
Step 3...
Pour the chocolate cake batter into the greased cake pan and bake for 30 to 40 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool.
Step 5...
In a small bowl, with electric mixer, cream together sugar, cream cheese and butter. Gradually add the milk and vanilla and beat until smooth.

Frost the cooled chocolate cake.
