Straighten Your Hair At Home

Hair Tips To Save Money

In particular, many of us who have curly hair want straight hair...and we don't want to use harsh chemicals that can be damaging  to get the sleek look we crave. The best way to straighten your hair is to use the natural method detailed below as much as possible; it's not a long-term solution, but it will do the trick.

Step 1

Use a straightening shampoo and conditioner to wash and condition your hair. This will make it easier to manage  during the straightening process. You can buy straightening shampoo online or at any beauty store or salon.

Step 2

Run a wide tooth comb through your wet hair. This will remove tangles with ease. Apply a straightening balm, putting it on the tips of your hair and on the roots while giving yourself a little massage. Comb your hair until the balm spreads evenly.

Step 3

Divide your hair into small sections by taking all your hair from the ears up, twisting it onto the top of your head and securing it with a large clip. This will hold it out of the way while you focus on the section to be straightened.

Step 4

Blow dry the separated section, using a round brush to pull your hair straight out; the blow dryer should be on high and pointing downward.

Step 5

Use a ceramic flat iron to straighten or smooth your hair and work with sections as for blow-drying. Clamp the iron around the section close to the roots, and slowly slide the iron over the hair to the ends. Repeat with each section until finished.

Here are the things you will need:

 Straightening shampoo

Wide tooth comb

Round hair brush

Straightening ceramic flat iron

Straightening balm

Hair spray or gel (optional)

You can apply either hair spray or gel if you want to get a finished look. This option will result in a less natural look...but it may last longer.  Use ceramic flat iron and blow dryer safely. Read instructions carefully prior to using them.
