Fresh homemade strawberry jello jelly
Making homemade jello strawberry jelly is easier than you might think.
Follow my instructions and in a few hours you will have fresh homemade strawberry jelly for your family.....
or to give as gifts.
Jello Jelly Gift
First off the things you'll need:
5- cups fresh strawberries
3- cups white granulated sugar
large cooking pot
5 or 6 jelly jars
5 or 6 lids and rings
1- package strawberry flavored gelatin
Step 1...Cut up the 5 cups fresh strawberries,
add the 3 cups sugar,
stir to blend.

Let this mixture stand in refrigerator for about 12 hours.
Step 2...Pour strawberry sugar mix into the large cooking pot
and boil for 20 minutes.
Stir often so it does not stick.
Step 3...While step 2 is cooking, sterilize your jars, lids and rings.
Step 4...After the 20 minutes are up, add the package of strawberry gelatin. Stir well. Turn off heat.
Step 5...Pour into hot sterilized jars, leaving 1/2 inch space between the top of the strawberry jelly and lip of the jar. Wipe any spills from jars with a clean cloth.

Step 6...Put on lids and screw on rings. Let cool.
Store in refrigerator for up to 4 weeks.

Tips and warning:
Be careful boiled mixture will be very hot!!
Can use other flavors of gelatin and fruit. Peach, cherry, blackberry and raspberry work well. I've even used watermelon.
