Kraft Dinner otherwise known as macaroni and cheese is a very delicious and cost conscious meal that you can get for as little as 50 cents a box. Unfortunately it does not have very much protein by itself. By adding some lean ground beef you can add a nice inexpensive protein to your meal to make it more complete.

Things You Will Need

1 box Kraft Dinner
200g Ground Beef
1 Frying Pan
1 Pot with water
1 sieve
1/8-1/4 cup milk
1 tablespoon margarine or butter

Step 1

The first thing you should do is setup your cooking tools. Put around a liter of water in your pot and heat it up until boiling. Pre heat your frying pan at around 3/4 temperature.

Step 2

While the water starts to heat up in the pot, start frying up the beef. The beef has enough fat naturally so you don't need to add any oil while cooking. Fry the ground beef up while you wait for the water to boil.

Step 3

Once the water if boiling, place your noodles into the water. Allow to boil for 7-10 minutes.

Step 4

Once the noodles and beef are done cooking, strain the noodles using a sieve, then put the noodles back into the empty pot.

Step 5

Add the beef, margarine and milk into the mix and stir thoroughly.

Step 6

Add the powdered cheese and stir until properly mixed.
That is all there is to it. Every once in a while I also add in some Habonera hot sauce, although this is not for people who have troubles with spicy foods.

Tips & Warnings

Half a box of Kraft Dinner has over 80g of carbohydrates, so if you are on a low carb diet, this probably isn't something you want to eat!
