mini pigs in a blanket with cheese
Mini pigs in a blanket with cheese are easy to put together, and always a hit at any get together. Whether you are throwing a super bowl party, or having a cocktail party, these should be on your menu. They are easy to make and fun to eat. Everyone loves these yummy little snacks.

What you will need:

* Mini hot dogs or little smokies

* 1-2 packages of refrigerated crescent dough

* Block of cheese of your choice. Cheddar or colby-jack work well.

What to do:

*Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

*Unroll the crescent dough, and cut each triangle into 3 equal triangles. They don't have to be perfect, but making them into the best triangles you can will really make the finished product look more appealing. Use a sharp knife because these can be pretty tricky to cut. Also, make sure the dough is cold when you are cutting them because that will make it easier and they will keep their shape better.

*Cut the cheese into small blocks, about half the size of the little smokie. Use a fairly hard cheese so it stands up better to the heat of the oven.

*Assemble each mini pig in a blanket by placing the little smokie at the long end of a triangle of dough. This is opposite of the pointed end. Begin rolling until you come close to reaching the tip of the triangle. Place the cheese on at this point and continue rolling so that the cheese is inside the dough and on top of the little smokie. The cheese will be peeking out a little bit.

*Place them on a baking sheet and bake at 375 for about 10 minutes or until they are golden brown and the cheese is melted. The cheese may melt down onto the baking sheet, but that is ok. Once you remove them, the cheese will be delicious that way. It will have a little bit of a chewy crunch to it. Enjoy! You may want to make extra because they will go so fast at your party.
