How to Make Mocha Coffee Sugar Body Scrub

By | 1 Comments | Rating: 0 | |

Sugar scrubs for skin care are often exceptionally expensive and often do not fulfill expectations. Consumers can often make their own sugar body scrubs right in their own homes from ingredients that they already have. Adding coffee to the body scrub can benefit the appearance of skin as the coffee is said to redistribute fat cells and interfere with the production of cellulite. Here is a delightful recipe for a Mocha Coffee Sugar Body Scrub.

Things You Will Need

Clean glass bowl
Mixing spoon
Measuring cup
Measuring spoon
1/2 c. White Sugar
3 tbsps. Coffee Grounds
2 - 3 tbsps. Almond Oil
Pinch of Cinnamon
Pinch of Nutmeg
2 tbsps. Cocoa Powder
Spatula
Airtight glass containers

Clean off work area surface and gather all of your supplies. If you want to make this Mocha Coffee Sugar Body Scrub and give it away as gifts, you can double or triple this recipe as needed. If using as a gift, be sure to have clean, airtight, glass jars to keep the sugar scrub in.

Combine and mix all of the dry ingredients in a clean bowl. For a single use recipe this will be 1/2 cup white sugar, 3 table spoons of fresh coffee grounds, 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder and a pinch of both cinnamon and nutmeg.

Once all of your dry ingredients are mixed, slowly add the almond oil in until you have the consistency you prefer. Add oil as desired. Any type of light oil can be used with this Mocha Coffee Sugar Body Scrub if you prefer not to use almond oil. Just keep in mind fragrance changes will impact the end product.

Store any leftovers in airtight containers, keeping in mind that home made body scrubs are preservative free and should be used in a relatively short amount of time after being made. If you are going to give this body scrub away as a gift, add it to sterile glass jars that are airtight. Decorate the jar and make someone's day with this thoughtful skin care product made by you!
