How to Make Model Clay

Making Clay at Home

If you use model clay on a regular basis or you just want to have some clay for your kids to play with, why pay the commercial cost when you can very easily make it at home with regular everyday house hold items.

Ingredients:

4 cups flour
1 cup salt
1 1/2 cups Water

Equipment:

1 large bowl
1 wooden spoon

Steps:

Mix all the ingredients (flour, salt and water) in the large bowl.

With the wooden spoon, kneed your clay mixture until it has developed the proper consistency.

If you aren't planning on using the modeling clay immediately, place it inside an air tight Tupperware container for later use.

That is all there is to it; making clay is extremely simple!
