Make Money (19247)

Money is an interesting thing. Some say it is the root of all evil. Some say it is the epitome of success. Some say it is a freedom enabler. But which every way you look at it, it is an important part of live and our society.

There are many ways to make money. To some people, making money comes very easily, but to many, money can be the biggest stress causer in ones life.

Here are a few ways you can make money.

Get a Job

This is the obvious one. Many people struggle to find jobs and can get frustrated with the process. The general status is that to get a good job you need to go to college, get a degree so you can get a good job. Interestingly enough, this is not really the case. Yes education does help in your ability to get a job (and is actually required in some professions where there are legal restrictions) but in most circumstances its actually experience that will get you the job, not education.

So how do you get experience without having education? Well, you could always offer to work for free. But even for someone to let you work for free you have to show you will be useful in some way or another and you won't damage the organisation you are working with. To do this, you should pick something you are truly passionate about, do your research and give the employer the impression that you really want the job and will be willing to work hard for it.

Start a Business

Another way to make money is to go into business for yourself. There are many forms of business, traditional brick and mortar shops, restaurants and bars. Service businesses such as accounting firms, dentist practices, mortgage brokers and call centres. There are manufacturing, distribution, marketing, import/export, software, and hundreds of other businesses that have the possibility to make money.

The important factor in starting a business is not your level of knowledge, not how much money you have in the bank, not your 'idea'... no, successful businesses are built on execution. That means lots and lots of time and energy running the business, educating yourself and developing your idea. Bad ideas sell if they are executed correctly. So again, it's important to pick a business idea that you know you will put the time and effort required, otherwise chances of failure are high.

Freelance

There is lots of money to be made in freelancing. You can write, take photos, market, consult, design, fix, suggest, in almost any industry. The most important element for a new freelancer is going to be their portfolio. If you want to freelance, you need to show you can do what you propose. Whether you build your portfolio (or track record) on the job or in your spare time, it needs to be done and needs to be good. You can then go out and pitch for work with your portfolio as your sales tool.

Work Online

There are many different ways to make money online. You can write articles on infobarrel, start a blog, become an affiliate marketer, release an information product, build software and sell it online and many other avenues. These are not quick shortcuts to making money. They require time and effort just like any other form.

Gamble

Lastly, you could always play the lottery. Or sell your house and put it on number 17 on roulette in Vegas. Hey, if you win the girls will probably like you! But chances of being successful here are very very very slim. There have been big crazes about playing poker online to make money. The element of poker is the same as a normal job. It requires time and effort.

In the end, there are no shortcuts to making money. But there are many routes that can give you the freedom or success you desire. In the modern world, things are different to how they used to be. And if you are not enjoying or finding success in your current money making endeavours, there has never been an easier time to change to something you truly enjoy. Just make sure you do your research and realise it won't be a smooth ride.
