When I started online, my day looked something like this:
- Fire up my internet browser and check out my favorite blogs
- Post a few comments on the blogs I follow
- Begin working on an article or post

- Hop over to Clickbank and see if I made any sales (nope!)
- Go back to writing the article
- Get bored and search the forums for an easier method
- etc

Stop checking your Adsense account every 10 minutes; you know it has not changed. Quit looking at your Clickbank account wondering if you have made any sales; you know you have not! Publishing 5 articles a month on your favorite article directory is not enough to retire on. Seriously! With respect to affiliate article marketing, quantity is much more important than quality.
Instead of worrying about every little detail, do some basic keyword research, write a few keyword dense articles, publish them and start the process over. It is a rare occurrence when you make a sale from an article during its' first week of life.
I am a huge fan of quality content. Content, after all, is King!
There is, however, a trade off. Create the best content that you can, improve your writing skills with each subsequent article and publish as much content as you can. A friend of mine actually sets goals as create 100 new Squidoo lenses or HubPages every month. I can promise you he makes more money online with his affiliate internet marketing program than you or I do!
Avoid chatting in the forums, posting comments on your friends' articles and reading every blog that you see. These actions are not creating money for you. Besides the small amount of knowledge you may or may not gain, doing this will not add money to you bank account.
