Step by Step Guide to Making Slime


I don't care how old you are, slime is fun, period. I remember thinking slime was the coolest thing ever as a young kid; unfortunately the Internet wasn't around to teach me how to make it! Lucky for you, it is now and slime is super duper easy to make!

Ingredients:

water
white glue (like Elmer's™)
borax
food coloring (unless you want uncolored white slime)

Slime Preparation:


First of all we are going to have to mix two separate solutions so grab two mixing bowls.

In the first bowl, mix together 1 cup of water with 1 teaspoon of borax. Stir until the borax has completely dissolved.

Next, in the other bowl, mix 1/2 cup of water with a 1/2 cup of white glue as well as the desired amount of food coloring.

Once both solutions are well mixed, combine both solutions into one container. Your fresh slime should being to polymerize right away.

Once you combine the two mixtures it will become progressively harder to mix together. Mix it as much as you can manage, then start massaging it by hand. Once its well mixed, remove it from the bowl, some colored water will remain.

Congratulations, you've just made slime! Play with it and form it into things and when you are done, store it in a Ziploc bag within your refrigerator and it should last quite a long time.
