How to Make a Coconut Milk Bath

By | 0 Comments | Rating: 0 | |

You can make your own moisturizing coconut milk bath right at home. Making your own skin care products saves money and subjects your skin to far fewer chemicals. By following some simple steps, you will be able to make your own coconut milk bath soak.

Things You Will Need

coconut or coconut milk
oatmeal
almond oil
honey
measuring cups
measuring spoons
mixing bowl
blender
drill, screwdriver, hammer

Drill a small hole into the coconut and drain off the milk or hammer a screwdriver through the coconut to make a hole in the shell. You can also purchase coconut milk from a local health food store for your bath soak. You will need at least one cup of  milk so choose the biggest coconuts you can find at the store. Set the bowl aside.

Measure out one cup of oatmeal. Place the oatmeal in a food processor, cover and process the oatmeal until it becomes the consistency of a powder.

Measure out two tablespoons of honey and pour them into the blender.

Measure out one tablespoon of the almond oil. Add the almond oil to blender.

Pour the coconut milk into the blender. Cover and blend until all of the ingredients are thoroughly mixed. The consistency will vary according to how much milk you were able to drain off from the coconuts.

Turn on your bath water and select a comfortable temperature. Slowly pour the coconut milk bath soak mixture under the stream of water.

Stor leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge or give them to a friend.
