How about starting the New Year out right this year by organizing your way to less stress and more prosperity? No more searching for ways to motivate yourself to write that article, or post that item on EBay, or do research on that next stock purchase. Here are some easy things you can do to help motivate yourself to get the job done.
Things You Will NeedMotivation, organization and a positive attitude.
First things first, you need to know what you want to accomplish. Maybe you need to write a list. Hate making lists? That might be why you're not able to focus. Come on just try it. Your list will not only get you focused on the tasks, but will also help you to become more organized. Know that satisfaction is just a few minutes away. We humans tend to procrastinate when it comes to getting things done. Looking at the finished product or crossing off one more item from the list is a great motivator.
Set a timetable of when you want to get things done. Once you have your list, allow a certain amount of time each day to accomplish tasks. Some tasks may take more than a day or two for completion. Keep a positive attitude. You can do this.
If you write articles, sit down and do a little brain storming about what you want to write. Deciding what subjects you want to write about in advance, makes it easier to write that article. Then just start. Remember you don't procrastinate anymore. You'll be surprised at how fast things go. Before you know it you'll be done and you can move on to something else.
Get those closets and garage cleaned out and make some money. Sell those things you no longer need. I like using EBay better than a garage sell. When posting on EBay do pricing research first on all the items you plan on posting. After determining how much you want to sell your items for, take all the pictures. Now it's time to go on either EBay or Turbo Lister to create the descriptions and post the items. Planning out the steps you will use to orderly do a job makes things go faster. This is also a project that you can allot a certain amount of time to each day. Breaking up those bigger projects makes them not quite so daunting.
Reward yourself for getting things done. Plan a fun shopping trip, a long walk with your spouse or kids; watch an exciting movie or your favorite TV show. But, and this is important, don't allow yourself to do these things until you finish the things that you need to do.
Why not start the New Year out right? Plan to get your life moving in a positive direction. Make a little money, create less clutter, and have fun. Sounds like a plan to me.
