a full english breakfast

A proper English breakfast consists of scrambled eggs, fried tomatoes, fried mushrooms, fried bread, baked beans in tomato sauce, sausage or bacon, and perhaps a fried potato cake (hash browns in a hockey puck shape) and of course a spot of tea.

It is really easy to create the traditional English breakfast in your own home.

What you'll need to make this is:

  • 1 can Heinz Original Baked Beans (green label)
  • 1/2 pack of Bacon (any brand)
  • 4-6 fresh mushrooms, sliced length wise
  • 2 slices of any bread you prefer
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 potato, grated
I usually start off with creating the "potato cake". Fry up some of the shredded potato in margerine or butter, let them brown a little and then form them into a hockey puck shape. Place the finished potato cakes into the microwave to store them warm. Next, fry the bacon or sausages till cooked. store them in paper towl to soak up extra grease. Next, you must fry up the mushrooms and tomato, store them in the microwave for warmth as well. Last step is to start boiling (you can microwave also) the baked beans. Fry the bread in the pan, or toast it. Lastly, cook your eggs however you like them best. Add it all onto your dish and serve!

This takes around 10 to 15 minutes depending on how well organized and how efficient in the kitchen you are.

Enjoy your full English breakfast!
