How to Make a Wine Bundt Cake

Wine pound cake

  I just had to share this easy, it's a totally awesome cake recipe. You'll be amazed just how yummy and moist it is.
   This recipe makes the very best pound cake you'll ever put a fork to. You got to trust me, I've made a lot of cakes in my time and this one hands down is a real show stopper.  Easy to follow directions, using just a with few affordable ingredients. Give it a try, I promise you won't be disappointed.

Instructions and things you'll need:

    1- yellow cake mix
    1- package vanilla instant pudding
    4- large eggs
    1/2- cup vegetable oil
    1/2- cup cold water
    1/2- cup dry white wine
    bundt pan
    glaze recipe

Step 1...Grease and flour the bundt pan. ( or use Bakers Joy, a spray that makes greasing and flouring a pan very easy). Pre heat oven to 325 degrees.

Step 2...Mix the yellow cake mix, vanilla instant pudding mix, 4 large eggs, 1/2-cup vegetable oil 1/2-cup cold water and 1/2-cup dry white wine in a large bowl. Beat well with an electric mixer for about 2 minutes. Pour into the prepared bundt pan and bake for 50 to 60 minutes. (depending on your oven). Or until a toothpick comes out clean. Remove from oven,and  infuse by poking the cake with a toothpick about 10 times in different places and pour glaze slowly over the warm cake. Allow the cake to sit in the bundt pan for 35 to 40 minutes before inverting on to cake plate.

            Glaze recipe:

1 stick butter
1 cup white granulated sugar
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup of dry white wine.

   Combine the 1 stick butter, 1 cup white granulated sugar and 1/4 cup water in a small sauce pan, bring to a boil. Boil hard for 1 minute. Remove from heat, stir in the dry white wine and pour over cake. Let sit about 35 to 40 minutes after pouring on glaze before inverting on to serving plate.

Tip: You can make a chocolate pound cake too, just use a chocolate cake mix and chocolate instant pudding.

No Redy2 doesn't pack a punch, 1st 1/2 c. of wine cooks off and 1/4 c. in glaze really isn't enough to even taste. Thanks for the visit.

My grandmother's sherry cake recipe sounds very similar. Although from your picture, the texture of your cake looks more like a pound cake. It looks and sounds delicious! I have to bring dessert to a wine tasting party next month, so I will try your recipe. Thanks for sharing.
