I woke up quite late this Sunday morning and was too lazy to prepare a complete meal. Even after an eight hour long sleep I was still in a mood to go back to my bed and close my eyes to sweet sleep. However, I was starving and an empty bowel brings nightmares. To have a sweet dream I had to eat something first. This is what I did. I made a Chopped steak burger in minutes and it was delicious. I must say I m a good cook.
Things You Will Need
These are the ingredients I used- ½ pound chopped round steak. 6 toasted garlic buns 1 pound chopped sirloin 2 tablespoon brown mustard 1 teaspoon salt 1 jar dill-pickle chips 2 teaspoon vegetable oil one onion, sliced and marinated in red wine-vinegar Worcestershire sauce to taste Sweet Onion Sauce to taste Mayonnaise Sauce to taste
Step 1Mix the chopped sirloin and chopped steak with brown mustard Worcestershire sauce and salt in a bowl.
Step 2Shape this mixture into six patties, brush them lightly with vegetable oil and grill them for 5 to 6 minutes, turn the patties and grill for another 5 to ten minutes. You can cook the patties the way you prefer. I have seen some health and weight conscious people only steaming or toasting their patties. I personally prefer my patties grilled brown and crisp.
Step 3Drain the onion rings from the marinade. Place the patties between the buns, top this with pickles and marinated onion. Add Mayonnaise and Sweet Onion sauce to taste.
Your sandwiches are ready to eat. If you want to grill the buns add Mayonnaise and Sweet onion sauce after grilling them. Have as much as you want and save the rest for your wife and kids. I m sure they will love it- the sandwich and the gesture. :)
