You may think it's hard to never lose at tic tac toe, but these simple steps will help you never lose at tic tac toe—and give your opponent a show.

Tic Tac Toe may seem like a simple little game that requires little strategy—and you're right. The biggest move you can make in Tic Tac Toe is the first move.

Always go first if you can. If you get the first move you are much more likely to win Tic Tac Toe, if you go second the best outcome is usually a tie.

Contrary to popular belief, the best location is often not the middle of the board. If you get the option to take the first turn in Tic Tac Toe, pick one of the corners.

While your opponent is trying to figure out your strategy, you will have yours all planned out. If they pick the middle, you pick the opposite corner from your first move. If they pick one of the filler spaces, consider placing your next Tic Tac Toe move in the center of the board.

The key never lose at Tic Tac Toe is to carefully think through each move—the first two moves are especially crucial. Plan where you will go, and consider your opponents next move.

If worst comes to worst and you know you can't win—create a distraction. Point your opponent in another direction and give them a show! Take a few turns in a row while their back is turned, and show them that you will never lose at Tic Tac Toe.
