Opening a Wine Bottle With a Screw & Pliers or Hammer

It has happened to just about everybody, you go to open a bottle of wine and you just don't have a corkscrew handy.  Conveniently, there are other methods to get that darn cork out of the bottle, and get that wine into your glass.

What you will need:

1  1.5" - 2" screw
1 screwdriver
1 set of pliers (or hammer)
1 corked bottle of wine

Instructions:

Screw the screw into the cork until about half an inch is still sticking out.

Take your pliers or hammer and simply pull on the screw.  The cork should come out with it rather easily.

Pour the wine into glasses and enjoy
