How to Promote Your Website with Online Artcle Marketing

By Edited Nov 26, 2016 1 0

Anyone who has done much marketing online knows how powerful online article marketing can be. Articles help you get the word out about your website or product in a safe, non-spamming manner.

Your writing can be published on literally thousands of websites and - if done correctly - can bring in a torrent of traffic to your website.

Things You Will Need

You need something to promote, of course.

Step 1

Pick a topic for an article that is relevant to your website.

If your website is about blogging, write about blogging. If your site is about health, write about health.

Step 2

Plan out your article.

You want to make it thorough and professional. Establish yourself as an authority on your topic. Show your readers that you have done your research and have put a lot of thought into your words.

By establishing yourself as an authority, people will be more likely to visit your website and trust what you say.

Step 3

Write an article of at least 250-300 words on your topic.

You don't need to write a book, but be thorough. Make sure you completely explain your topic. Don't leave your readers wondering why you 300 words isn't as much as you might think.

The exact word count isn't what's important, but 300 is a good number to shoot for.

Step 4

Include a link to your site at the end of the article.

For each article you submit, you can include one or two links to your own website.

This is the point of article marketing. While getting exposure on hundreds or thousands of websites, you can send traffic to your own site from very high-ranking web pages all over the Internet. But if you don't include a link, people won't be able to find you from the articles you post.

Step 5

SUBMIT your articles to Article Directories...

This is where the fun starts.

There are literally thousands of article directories out there just asking for your content.

While you COULD submit to every directory by hand, you will save yourself HOURS of work by downloading the Article Submitter program here: http://articlesubmitter.imwishlist.com/

The software asks you for the basic information about your article including author, category, email, title, the article text itself...links to your site...etc. Once you fill that information in, you can then visit each of the article directories listed in the software. Article Submitter will fill in all of the information you have given it so you don't have to type it over and over again for each article directory. In fact, for most directories in the software, you only have to click a checkbox stating you agree with the terms of use or the like.

There is a paid version available that is being sold for $167 that you may be interested in if you want to kick your efforts into overdrive.

While, you don't HAVE to use this software, I HIGHLY recommend it if you are serious about getting ahead.

Step 6

Include a link to your site at the end of the article.

For each article you submit, you can include one or two links to your own website.

This is the point of article marketing. While getting exposure on hundreds or thousands of websites, you can send traffic to your own site from very high-ranking web pages all over the Internet. But if you don't include a link, people won't be able to find you from the articles you post.

Pay attention to the posting guidelines on each site you submit to. Some sites - like Article Dashboard - require any self-serving links to be in the "Resource" box which follows the article. If you don't follow the rules, you can get yourself banned from posting any more articles.

Have fun!

If you do it right, article marketing will explode your web traffic like you have never seen before. Some of the best things in life are free - this is one of them!
