How to Recognize Early Menopause Symptoms

Have you reached an age where your menstrual cycle is coming intermittently? Are you now experiencing hot flashes or mood swings? Menopause affects all women at different ages. Understanding the signs you are feeling will help you through menopause. Therefore, it is very important that you recognize early menopause symptoms.

Those who suffer from menopause before they are forty years of age are defined as early menopausal women. This means they experience hot flashes and mood swings, but often these women do not associate these symptoms with menopause, thinking they are too young. This is why it is important to understand the early menopause symptoms so you can fine relief.

Most doctors associate early menopause with genetics. Chances are if your mother or grandmother began menopause before hitting forty, you are going to experience the same thing. This does not mean that it is guarantee that you will, but it certainly heightens the possibility. Another result of early menopause is a hysterectomy. Hysterectomies are considered a last resort for women. Usually surgery is recommended if there is a problem with the ovaries or if the hormones cannot be controlled through other means. Once you have a hysterectomy, your body is no longer told to produce certain hormones, which can bring about early menopause symptoms.

Chemotherapy or radiation leads to early menopause. Once you have established if you suffer from early menopause by a doctor, you will want to understand the symptoms and find a way to relieve these symptoms. Some symptoms as mentioned above such as mood swings and hot flashes.

Hot flashes are characterized by a feeling of being over warm whether the room is cold or a moderate temperature. It often induces profuse sweating. Many women experience this symptom at different times of the day.

Most women are definitely affected at night when they are trying to sleep. They may wake up soaked in sweat or find it difficult to sleep. This can also lead to fatigue. Fatigue is another symptom that can happen when the hormones that are not at the correct level. Most women feel fatigue during a menstrual cycle and it can be compounded during early menopause by other symptoms. Mood swings are by far one of the most difficult symptoms of early menopause. Mood swings can induce depression, a reduced sex drive, difficulty sleeping, and anger.

If you are suffering from early menopause symptoms, you will want to seek a doctor's advice for proper treatment of these symptoms. Bodies need balance. When hormones are not balanced, it can produce severe psychological affects for a woman. You may not recognize the affect that early menopause symptoms are having on you, but your family will and they will want to help you feel better.
