It's
easy to jump from diet to diet and allow your weight to go up and down. To keep
your scale on the downward trend, try these simple ideas to reduce food cravings. Taming those
craving is much easier than you think.
Almonds and pine nuts
– Eating almonds or pine nuts can make your stomach feel fuller. Try
having some with your meal or before your meal. These nuts are excellent
ways to help reduce your food cravings. The reason these nuts are
beneficial is because of their high amount of protein.
Bee
pollen- Bee pollen has 40% protein and is known
to curb or reduce your appetite. Bee pollen is a natural supplement alternative
which makes it even more appealing. Research also suggests that Bee Pollen may
even regulate your weight if taken correctly and regularly. You can purchase
Bee Pollen supplements at your local health store.
Green tea – Green tea can rev up your metabolism, as well as curb your hunger. You can buy Green tea supplements or make your own cup of green tea from tea bags. Be careful about products on the market which advertise having Green tea in them. Most of them have such small amounts that it would not benefit curbing your appetite. Green tea and Black tea should not be confused and don't possess the same qualities.
Water- It has been a well known fact that drinking water can reduce your cravings. In fact, it seems that sometimes, we are not really hungry at all, but just thirsty. This is a good test to see if you're really hungry by drinking water a glass of water. Try drinking at least 6 glasses a day which will leave less room for snacking.
Oatmeal- This is a really great food to have in the morning and will hold off hunger through the morning most of the time. Oatmeal can really satisfy you so that you won't feel the need to reach for an unhealthy snack. The amount of fiber in oatmeal is what helps with hunger. I found oatmeal to be one of the best ways to reduce food cravings.
Apples are also a good food you can use to keep away food craving. The apple is very high in fiber as oatmeal is. The fact that it is a lot chewier may tend to make it even more satisfying than oatmeal.
