How to Remove a Tattoo
If you spend any amount of time online reading about some of the horror stories people go through to remove a tattoo themselves at home you really start to question the intelligence of the human species. If for some reason you decide that a particular tattoo is not for you, the answer is not to mutilate yourself! Although if you stop to think about it, getting a tattoo in the first place is more or less a form of mutilation so maybe it's not too much of a stretch for some folks.
However, there are much better ways to remove a tattoo than with the use of such items such as cigarette lighters, alcohol, salt, hot candle wax, and steel wool just to name a few. I do not recommend the use of such methods! If you need to remove a tattoo safely there are plenty of options available. Even if you can't afford expensive treatments there are at least some creams you can use that will cause some fading. Certainly these products are safer than trying to perform your own science experiments and playing doctor at home. But like most other things, when it comes to cheap tattoo removal, you get what you pay for.
The best way to remove a tattoo is to seek advice from a professional. Laser tattoo removal prices can be costly but if you can afford the tattoo in the first place there is no reason why you shouldn't be able to save up enough money to have it removed. Certainly you have some friends or family members who want to see the tattoo gone as much as you do. Perhaps if you ask nicely and admit your mistakes they can float you a loan. If you need the tattoo removed in order to be eligible for employment you can pay them back after you get the job.
Technology has come a long way in terms of laser tattoo removal. Some tattoos are more easily removed than others but if you're the kind of person who is considering removing the tattoo yourself chances are you have the type of tattoo that responds well to laser treatments. These are small tattoos that consist of a single color, usually black. Larger tattoos with multiple colors can also be removed with a laser but require more sessions, usually spanning across many months or even years.
Surgical excision is another option but is usually used as a last resort because there is a higher risk of scarring. However, some tattoos can only be removed completely with surgical excision. Tattoos with bright colors such as yellow, red, orange, and white sometimes do not respond well to laser treatment.
If you are considering tattoo removal you should research all the different options available before making your final decision. In the meantime, you can use tattoo camouflage makeup to hide your tattoo from view.
