How to Rent Vacation Houses, Villas, or Timeshare Condos

By | 0 Comments | Rating: 0 | |

There are many options to lodging while on vacation. Such options include renting houses, condominiums, and villas. Guidelines for renting are straight forward. Best to always go through an agency, and list all the things you must have in a house to assure your comfort and an enjoyable vacation. Be specific and honest with your agent, the more you can advise him or her, the happier you will be on your vacation. Here are a few items you might want to consider when renting a vacation house, condominium, or villa.

Ã1/4 Decide on the type of house wanted. Do you want a ranch style home, where everything is on one level? Decide where you would like to have the house located. Do you want flat, easy access to the house? Will a house on a steep hill with a stairway to the entrance be ok? Decide how many rooms and how many people the house will need to accommodate.

Ã1/4 Decide whether or not if you need stores and shops in the local area. If the house is in a foreign country, discuss with you agent if there other English-speaking people in the local area?

Ã1/4 Discuss the kitchen appliances with your agent. Does the house have your kind of kitchen? Does it have the appliances you are use to using? Is the water safe for drinking and cooking?

Ã1/4 Discuss the bathrooms in the house. Do you need more than one bathroom? Does the bathroom have a tub, shower, or both? Is there maid-service? Is it included in the rental price? Are there drawers and/or closets space for a visitor's use? Are there hangers in the closets for visitor's use?

Ã1/4 Discuss what facilities are in the local area. What medical facilities are nearby? How good are they?

Ã1/4 Are the utilities (including trash) extra or included in the rental price? What other items are included in the rental price? What is not included?

Ã1/4 Is there a phone and/or internet connections in the house or villa?

Ã1/4 If in foreign country, what is the electrical current? Will there be converters or outlet plugs available for your use.

Ã1/4 What does the property insurance cover? Are the fire and property insurance coverage has been paid up.

Ã1/4 What are the emergency numbers - plumbers, electricians, etc?

Ã1/4 Are there alarms or other mechanical features in the house or villa that involve explanations?
