How to Save Money Right Now

By | Oct 7, 2009 | 0 Comments | Rating: 0

When your bank account is low you may look for ways to save money right now. Keeping money in your own pocket instead of in someone elseâ € ™s isnâ € ™t as difficult as it may seem. With just a few tweaks you can save money today, tomorrow and for the rest of the month.

Bills

Step 1

Cancel your hair or nail appointment to save money right now. At the least, you can probably go a little longer between coloring or trims, and at the most, you could color your own hair or do your own nails. You could even throw a party with your friends and give each other manicures so you can save money right now and have fun at the same time.

Step 2

Look at the bills due this week and this month to save money right now. Do you really need all those movie channels or a land line when you always use your cell phone? Are you paying for texts when paying for unlimited texts would actually save you money?

Step 3

Take your lunch to work and make dinner at home to save money right now. Not only could you save hundreds, even thousands, of dollars a year but you will keep that cash in your pocket and you will most likely eat much healthier at the same time. This goes for coffee too, make your own instead of buying it.

Step 4

Visit your local library to save money right now instead of spending your cash on DVDâ € ™s and books. Entertainment doesnâ € ™t have to cost a dime. If nothing else, dust off those old board games and have a family game night.

Step 5

Make a list of each item you spend money on to find the little items where your money slips through that you can cut back on.

Step 6

Ask your friends and family with children if they want to swap babysitting. Instead of paying for a babysitter, watch your sister's kids one night and she can watch yours the next.
