How to Send a Fresh Carnations Bouquet

By | May 8, 2010 | 1 Comments | Rating: 1

Sending flowers to someone is a great way to show that you care. Flowers are appropriate for a variety of occasions, including birthdays, births, funerals, Mother's Day and any time you just want to make someone happy. While there are a multitude of flowers to choose from, fresh carnations are a beautiful choice and they are one of the lowest-cost flowers to send. Sending fresh carnations to someone is easy, whether they live next door or across the country.

Step 1

Create a budget for your fresh carnations bouquet. This is an important first step because flower arrangements vary widely in price. In addition, the florist will usually ask about the price range as one of the first questions.

Step 2

Go to a local florist, or visit its website, to see the types of fresh carnations that are available. Ask specifically for the fresh carnation arrangements and describe the occasion. Often, the florist will create a custom arrangement, depending on your needs.

Step 3

Compose a message to include on the card that is delivered with the fresh carnations. You can simply put your name, or a more detailed message. You will have the option to hand-write the message, or the florist can type it for you.

Step 4

Pay for the carnations. Tell the florist the name and address of the person you want to send them to, and the date when that they should be delivered.

Tips & Warnings

If the person lives out of town, your local florist can still take your order and arrange for the flowers to be delivered to the person.

If you want to make the carnations bouquet look nicer but still keep the cost low, consider adding one or two expensive flowers to the carnation arrangement. For example using one or two orchids in the center of the fresh carnations makes a more attractive appearance but is still fairly affordable. You can also order the fresh carnations online using a credit card and arrange for delivery at the time you purchase them. Call at least three or four days before you want the fresh carnations delivered to ensure the florist has time to prepare them.
