Get rich quick schemes can be hard to spot these days. They've always been around, smooth talking sales people smooth talking their way into our wallets, ever since before the internet. Scammers have always been scamming people, ever since some Neanderthal told his neighbor that if he gave him a really good chunk of mammoth meat and a nice hide, he'd hand over some magic rocks which would make that pain in his back go away (and if he closed the deal now, the Ice Age would be over by next Tuesday).
Get Rich Quick Scheme giveaway: almost instantaneous wealth
Any scheme that promises almost instantaneous wealth is – you guessed it – a get rich quick scheme. Anyone who knows anything at all about money knows that money doesn't materialize out of thin air – you must earn it, and it may take some time. Especially substantial wealth – if some scheme promises a million bucks within 90 days or your money back, 100% guaranteed – odds are they are lying – good luck trying to get your money back.
Get Rich Quick Scheme giveaway: little or no effort required
This really bugs me, because you really don't get something from nothing. Sure you can maximize your work efforts and minimize the effort you put in to generate the income, but it has to come from somewhere. If someone is promising you something from nothing you're going to get something alright, a big hole in your wallet and a headache. Get serious and be prepared to work for your wealth.
If you want to get rich quick, you'll have to be lucky, and it won't be through a scheme. It'll happen because you're out there in the market looking for opportunity – in real estate or buying the right stock at the right price and at the right time. But really, at the end of the day, it's about having a shot – trying your best, and putting yourself in the best possible position to take advantage of opportunities as they present themselves. Getting rich is possible, but it will take time and it will take effort, and there will be times when you think it's all not going to happen and all your efforts so far are for nothing, but you need to keep at it.
Don't be like that hairy little Neanderthal scratching his head and wondering why the rocks he bought didn't end the Ice Age. Seriously now – teach yourself how to be rich, don't rely on others to do it for you. Think outside the box, don't be afraid to do things differently, or to try out new ideas. Just be mindful of 'blueprints' that promise to let you in on the secret of how to get rich quick - it's a rort, I can tell you that right now - and the only person that is getting rich out of that scheme is the person selling it to you. If you want to get rich quick, then by all means do it - just don't expect others to do it for you. I can't remember who I heard this old saying from, but it fits perfectly in this situation: If it is to be, it's up to me. Enjoy!
