One of the best ways to stop sweating is to make sure you are using an anti-perspirant and not just a deodorant. Not everyone may be aware of the difference. Deodorant does exactly what it indicates: it removes odor. But it doesn't do anything to actually stop the sweat itself. While anti-perspirant and deodorant combos are fine, you should be making sure that you are regularly applying anti-perspirant. Even people who do not suffer from hyperhidrosis may have to reapply their anti-perspirant at least once or twice a day. So make sure that you have a stick of anti-perspirant with you anywhere you go.

Another method to stop sweating is to use Iontophoresis. Iontophoresis targets the sweat glands by applying an electric current to the skin, using tap water or anticholinergic solutions. Multiple treatments a week are typically required, although following that you will only need to go to a maintenance appointment once every few weeks. This procedure usually takes about 10 or 20 minutes.
