Acne Problems

If you have acne problems then you're not alone. There are millions of people that are in the same boat you are, especially young people, since hormones are one of the primary reasons for acne. That's right just because you're a teenager you have zits.

Fair or not acne problems aren't going away anytime soon. However, that doesn't mean that you can't reduce the problem and make it manageable. Most people have learned how to manage their acne problems and then there are those who just got their first pimple and are clueless.

If you have never had acne problems then you should start out first by trying one or more common acne products such as Clearasil, Noxema or Stridex. Many times those will work and your troubles are over.

Then again, there may be other factors like not having a skin care regimen. If you're not caring for skin properly inside and out then you may get acne problems. First of all you need to eat a healthy diet and drink plenty of water this way you work on acne from the inside where it begins anyway.

Naturally, you need to have a good acne cleanser not only for your face, but wherever you have acne. St. Ives and Clarin are two of the best on the market, however, if you choose another be sure it says non irritating, oil free and that it contains benzoyl peroxide and or salicylic acid.

Along with a good acne wash you need to exfoliate skin once or twice a week to slough off dead skin that clogs pores. St.Ives, once again, has a great product for this. Don't scrub hard this will irritate acne problems and make it worse! Then afterward you need a moisturizer that is oil free and states it helps prevent acne.

When you have your basic acne skin care products you need to follow the directions. Don't just do what you want to do or you will not get optimal results. There will be some trial and error, so be patient until you find the product that works best. However, if your acne problems get worse and big clusters of pustules are coming up then see a dermatologist asap.

There are other factors that can cause acne problems such as sweat, stress, medicine, environment and make up. If you have control over these things then great, if not then you need to gain control. For example, if you sweat, take care to wash it off immediately. Don't let sweat dry and remain this creates bacteria build up.

Many of us have had acne at some point in our lives, so don't worry about it too much just do what you can and if it doesn't work visit the doctor and get help.
