  2. Cover the beans with about 2 1/2 quarts of water and bring to a boil. Your pot should remain covered to preserve the liquid.
  3. Reduce the heat and let simmer for 90 minutes
  4. Strain the liquid and put the beans to the side. Allow the broth to cool down before consuming.

You should consume this broth 2 times a day to see full results. You can use the beans that were leftover in salads or make other dishes that include black beans.
