How to Use Eggplant in Companion Planting
Grow eggplant with companion plants in the organic garden in order to achieve healthy produce. Not only does eggplant benefit from the proximity of some plants, but it also benefits a variety of other plants. Grow it in rows spaced 24 inches apart and rows spaced 12 inches apart. It thrives in slightly acidic, rich, well-draining soil. This heavy feeder performs best with frequent side dressings of compost and in hot, humid conditions, In colder climates, start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost is expected.
