How to Use Leftover Sugaring Mixture as a Body Scrub

By | 0 Comments | Rating: -1 | |

So, you have used your own home-made sugaring mixture to remove unwanted body hair and don't know what to do with the leftovers? The leftovers can easily be turned into a body scrub to exfoliate dry skin by combining it with your used coffee grounds. This home-made body scrub helps you save money on skin care products and use up things you may have otherwise thrown away!

Things You Will Need

Sugaring Hair Removal Mixture
Used coffee Grounds
Measuring cups
Glass bowl Oil of choice (optional)

Measure the amount of leftover sugaring mixture you have into a clean glass bowl. Make sure that the mixture has cooled to room temperature before making your body scrub. If it starts to become too thick you can warm it a little while keeping in mind that sugar heats up very quickly and could burn your skin.

Place used coffee grounds on a microwave safe plate and place in microwave. Heat the used coffee grounds for 30 seconds to get some of the excess moisture out of them. Allow the coffee grounds to cool to room temperature. You can also place the grounds between paper towels and press excess moisture out before using in body scrub recipe.

Measure out an equal amount of the used coffee grounds to the sugaring mixture that is in your bowl. Thoroughly mix the sugaring mixture and coffee grounds together. You can choose to add a couple teaspoons of oil  for moisturizing skin.

Apply the body scrub to skin and gently rub in small circular motions over the area of skin you wish to exfoliate. Rinse the scrub off thoroughly.
