How to Very Effectively Lose Belly Fat

By Edited Apr 25, 2015 5 5

You can effectively lose belly fat without becoming overwhelmed with diet plans and exhaustive exercise routines. Simple changes in diet and engaging in some type of exercise will help greatly. Starving yourself won't be very effective and the weight will come back on if you don't lose it correctly.

Things You Will Need

  • Mono unsaturated fats
  • water
  • exercise plan
  • whole grains

Step 1

Increase the use of belly fat fighting mono unsaturated fats. Incorporate oils such as olive, flax seed and sunflower into your diet. Besides fighting belly fat, these oils have other health benefits also. Foods such as avocado and olive can also be added to your diet to fight the bulge. Simply adding nuts such as cashew, pine and sunflower to salads or keeping on hand for snacks will also help a great deal.

Step 2

Cut out bad carbohydrates. Choose whole grain breads, rolls, cereals and rice. Not only will these foods go far in burning belly fat, they help you feel full longer so you eat less. Cut refined sugar out of your diet too.

Step 3

Drink more water. It is recommended that you drink at least 64 ounces of water a day, but increase this up to as much as 80 ounces. For added benefit, drink ice water. Your metabolism has to work harder to warm the water and an increased metabolism helps with belly fat loss and overall weight loss.

Step 4

Increase exercise to lose belly fat. Exercising can be as simple as walking as often as possible, bike riding or swimming. Check with your doctor before beginning any intense exercise program, especially if you have health conditions or have been living a sedentary lifestyle.

Great piece. I've been trying to drink more water, but I had never heard the "ice water" part. Makes sense and I'm going to give it a shot.
