There are actually some people who make a living out of winning free online prizes and sweepstakes. The probability of winning one of these is very small, but it can be done if you keep your eyes open.

Keep your eyes open. There are so many different companies out there competing for your business. In order to please the masses, they have to know what people in a specific demographic are looking for. Therefore they offer free prizes in order to convince people to complete surveys. Keep your eyes open for surveys with the possibility of prizes at the mall, retail stores, and even online.

Step 2

After shopping at a retail store, make sure you check the bottom of your receipt. Many times they will offer a chance at a $5,000 shopping spree just for a few minutes of your time. I'm not sure why, but $5,000 seems to be the magic number.

Step 3

Listen for sweepstakes on the radio. Be the (whatever number) caller and win. You can win some good prizes this way.

Step 4

Scour the internet for prizes. This can be tricky because there are so many scams out there. Make sure that you don't get caught up in a scam by doing research first.

Step 5

Don't get frustrated and stop. The possibility that you will win is very small. So don't quit your day job, and don't stop doing the surveys and keeping your eyes open just because you haven't won anything yet.
